PQ Marble it Up! Mashup Tutorial Mission 1
Song used: Nostalgia by Aaryl My first Marble it Up! styled level. I want to raise awareness that ILFC asked questions about making curves easily like Marble it Up! In his own words: "How could one easily create curved and ramped trim (like in Marble It Up! or Marble Blasted) inside Constructor or Blender? Example: marbleland.vaniverse.io/level/35843" asked in Level Building topic.
I apologise for the delayed reply. Unfortunately, I cannot obtain the .csx file without indirectly sharing my email and real name, and temporary accounts are unviable for me. Could you allow anyone with the link to download the file?
I could definitely have some help! Since most levels doesn't have curves, I don't need help with texturing on all five levels, however I do need help on the Slip & Speed's railing. I will upload the .csx file on the forums--just don't expect any recent replies because of time zones.
There is a new Marbleland feature that allows one to update levels in a manner that preserves leaderboard integrity. If you upload the .csx files for each of the three levels, I will certainly resolve the texturing errors โ at least mostly. Afterwards, I will upload the improved interiors for you to place in each level, replacing the old interiors.
I thought about HiGuy's Face Fix plugin--But the plugin only works on textures that scales to 1x1 (like trims.) Since the gray trims needs to be scaled down to 0.25, the plugin gets confused and breaks the texture altogether. I tried using the Rotation field--It looks normal on Constructor, but on PQ the texture is also broken. I could ask you to fix the texturing errors, when I'm building another level. Railings are the main reason the levels take time, because of the texturing. Still, I wanted to credit you--since it would be unfair doing work and getting nothing in return.
(No credit is required; it is comparable to using a program to perfect the texturing.)
Your viewpoint is valid, though I think this level looks very good. If you want me to fix the texturing errors, simply upload the .csx files via the Marble Blast forums or Mediafire.
I didn't mean to use that metric, and since one of the main metrics are quality, I take time to have smooth slopes, proper texturing, etc. And no, your levels do have taste, way better than mine. (For example: pitfalls, level structuring, etc.) We are equally the same, making levels and move on. Since I make levels almost everyday, I can miss some mistakes--or avoid them using bad workarounds.
If you are using that metric, where is the (noticeably) improper texturing in ๐๐ข๐ด๐บ ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ญ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ or ๐๐ต๐ข๐ช๐ณ๐ธ๐ข๐บ? (I already fixed a texturing error in the former; I must simply update the level.) By your logic, I am โbetterโ than you are at constructing levels, simply because I take the time to resolve major texturing issues. Clearly, that is an unreliable and illogical method to see who is better at level creation. Unlike your levels, my levels have generic, tasteless gameplay โ that criterion is genuinely relevant about level quality. Creativity is far more important than trivial details.
Replying to ILFC: The skybox is indeeed very inspired from ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐ด๐ค๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต by Nockess. Still, our level-making skills are the same. None of us are any better. For example: the slopes' railing doesn't have proper texturing since I was too lazy.
The level makes me think of ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐ด๐ค๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต by Nockess. https://marbleland.vaniverse.io/level/32774
There you are again, consistently making levels that make my levels look like garbage. What a common zyphor victory. ๐

I also apologise for the delayed response. May I ask why are temporary accounts unviable? You could input your username/nickname (ex. ILFC) or an email that doesn't reveal any personal information (ex. [email protected].) I don't really know another way to obtain the file without exposing any personal information. This is voluntary to do--it is okay if you don't want to share any information. I have set the general access section to public. Try to open it with a temporary account if possible, because I cannot test the link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-eq4D9295E0w0r7EzIXAQTVhhZSNiJI5/view?usp=sharing
