Description

PQ Marble it Up! Mashup Tutorial Mission 4

Details

Modification: PlatinumQuest
Game type: Singleplayer
Gem count: 0
Has Easter Egg: Yes
Platinum time: 00:21.000
Ultimate time: 00:16.000
Awesome time: 🤔

Remarks

Constructor was laggy after these curves. You might find the curves flat and boring, and that's what I thought too. I was planning to have curves like Marble it Up!--having them curvy and all sorts of stuff. I don't have the manpower and tools to do that--however having those makes the level more interesting. Best Time by Players (currently ILFC (Dozenalist)--21:52 UTC): 00:05.184

Dang it. August beat me. Nice to see that the leaderboards for these levels are still active, though.

I greatly appreciate your response! I may attempt to create curves using this method.

Still the same. Made the curves using pie curves but dragged one trim-length below. (Using faces setting.)

How did you create those curves with the ramped trim?

Replying to ILFC's first comment: I painstakingly made the curves using pie curves--copy & pasting them throughout the level. The Awesome Time has been updated to 00:05.500.

To be considerate of Haxe Port players, I think the Awesome Time should be 00:05.750. While this is far too easy to beat in PlatinumQuest, it is possible (albeit difficult, as it should be) in the Haxe Port.

Awesome Time: 00:05.250 (if not considering Haxe Port)

From my perspective, the curves are far from “boring”, and the shortcut-enabling fade platform is a nice touch.

if you can use Blender

How did you do that?
