If the only problem is that you would head Out of Bounds, the level would perhaps be possible in the original game as the screenshot glitch would exist. But how would you get the gem? You would phase through it.

Silly me. I remember reading that it was possible with Rewind, but that is probably because Rewind has a bug where you stop being Out of Bounds after rewinding.
